Conflict Resolution Training
|
Implementing the National Syllabus
|
In December 2003 the Secretary of State launched
"A Professional Approach to Managing Security in the NHS":
a strategy document
which includes a national syllabus for conflict resolution training developed in
association with the British Medical Association, the Royal College of Nursing and UNISON.
Conflict resolution training
is a key preventative measure for tackling violence against staff.
It focuses on the use of non-physical techniques and includes customer service, recognition of warning signs, de-escalation models and cultural awareness.
Jean Todd is a Conflict Resolution Trainer, certified by the NHS Business Services Authority CFSMS Division,
a member of the Institute of Conflict Management
and is currently providing training to NHS Trusts.
The available courses include a
full-day
to deliver the original syllabus material
and alternative half-day refreshers designed to complement your own work environment:
The Jean Todd Partnership can deliver any of these courses at a time and place of your choice.
